On 128K systems, use LOAD "" from 48K BASIC Background ---------- This is the sequel to a previous ZX81 game entered into CSSCGC 2007. Find the original in the CSSCGC archive file for 2007. Actually don't, it really is awful, managing to lose the compo. Playing instructions -------------------- You, the great wizard Yendalf must search the forest of Talberon for the second Golden Egg which has been camouflaged by mischievous forest imps. Use keys q,a,o,p to stroll around the forest. The game is rather sluggish and unresponsive, so bear this in mind when playing! You may occasionally get trapped in the thick forest, in that case, use the 'k' key to fire the powerful "Staff of Xandar" which should clear a path for you. Don't use it to destroy the egg though, you have been warned! To win the game, simply find the egg and it is yours for the taking. Game features ------------- Now features graphics! Simple BEEP effects. Colour! Immersive gaming environment. 2-way vertical scrolling. 100% BASIC Loading screen which manages to get overwritten rather quickly and also happens to be two years out of date. Excessively long loading time on a real system. Probably around six times longer than it should be with loads of uncompressed zeros loaded in. Broken compatibility with both 16K and 128K modes.
